Peruvian purple corn exports grew slightly in 2024

In 2024, Peru exported 1.19 million kilos of purple corn, with a value of $2.59 million, reflecting a slight increase over the 1.1 million kilos exported in 2023, which generated $2.25 million, according to local media.
The United States was the main buyer, acquiring $1.52 million (59% of the total). It was followed by Spain with $304,157 (12%), Belgium with $198,567 (8%), the Netherlands with $131,376 (5%), Ecuador with $121,180 (5%), South Korea with $105,335 (4%) and Italy with $67,194 (3%).
