FJ
The two giants of the banana sector about to merge just changed the terms of their agreement.
Chiquita and Fyffes agreed to an increase in the participation of the American group which now reach 59.6 % and not 50.7 % as originally planned.
These changing conditions resulting from discussions in parallel between the American company and Grupo Cutrale Brazilian manufacturer of fruit juice , as well as Safra Group, investment structure , which were both competing offers.
The final decision must be approved by the vote of shareholders to be held by the end of October.
