Thursday 10 April 2008
Argentina will intensify quality controls of the citrus industry. The AFINOA (Asociación Fitosanitaria del Noroeste Argentino) has set up a committee composed of citrus growers to ensure that all food safety standards are met.
Controls will be performed on lemons, grapefruits and oranges, and the whole procedure is expected to prevent the apparition and propagation of diseases that could affect the citrus industry.
