Buffet will invest $500 million in agriculture

Howard Buffet with its huge investment wants to support the transformation of Rwanda and renovate its agriculture.

The eldest son of US multi-billionaire Warren Buffet will invest $ 500 million in agricultural production in Rwanda.

Howard Buffett is a personal friend of President Paul Kagame and Rwanda wants to accompany the transfer. The country is experiencing a miraculous recovery after the tragic events , and now expects an economic growth of 8.5%.

Howard Buffet 's investment concerns an irrigation project over 380 square miles ( 984.2 km2 ) and the creation of an institute for agricultural training, a concept similar to some American universities (Arizona , Illinois).

This is the largest ever investment in the agricultural sector in Rwanda . Last year the total investment in the sector totaled only USD 17.9 million .
