Peru’s March grape export volume rises 30% year on year

Peru’s grape exports rose in March as shipments continued to outperform last year, according to Agrodata Peru.
Exports reached 21,529 tonnes in March 2026, generating $62.6 million, compared with 16,555 tonnes and $48.3 million in the same month of 2025. The average export price held steady at $2.91 per kg, almost unchanged from $2.92 per kg a year earlier.
For the first three months of 2026, Peru exported 242,017 tonnes of grapes worth $677.3 million, up from 747,219 tonnes and $2.16 billion recorded across the full 2025 season, reflecting the typical seasonal concentration of shipments early in the year. The average price so far in 2026 stands at $2.80 per kg, slightly below $2.89 per kg in 2025.
The United States remained the dominant destination for Peruvian grapes in 2026, accounting for $378.9 million in export value to date. Mexico followed with $91.8 million, while the Netherlands reached $59.4 million. Other notable markets included Spain ($24.4 million), Taiwan ($20.6 million), Canada ($18.6 million), China ($16.0 million) and Hong Kong ($10.6 million).
