The new variety M7 next to Navelina.
“El Club de Variedades Vegetales Protegidas” (CVVP), which develops and promotes protected vegetable varieties indicates that producers of Valencia can cultivate a new variety of oranges which assures quality, traceability and food safety.
The new variety M7 is a transfer of Navelina, its color is more uniform 4 weeks before internal maturity, its Brix value reaches 13 ° and its period of harvest widens over 4 months.
A first zone of 1.500 hectares will be put in production. A marketing campaign towards the main European distributors is planned to promote the new variety M7.
