Elections for the Cooperativa Agricola dos Fruticultores do Cadaval

3 years have past, and on Friday, January 23rd 2009, it will be time again for the Cooperativa Agricola dos Fruticultores do Cadaval (based out of Cadaval, Portugal) to vote for a new director. It has been the cooperative's policy to vote for a new staff every 3 years. The 20 members of the future staff will of course be chosen from the 350 growers in the cooperative, and will hold office for the next three years. The past director will be congratulated for a job well done as he leaves behind a cooperative stronger than ever as it now supplies all of the European countries, Canada, Brasil, and hopefully soon the southern half of Africa with the famous ROCHA pear. The ROCHA pear is one of Portugal's specialties, and the cooperative trades it under the brand COOPVAL.
