Citrus of Sicily for photovoltaic energy

"Sagro" is a research project conducted by the Faculty of Catania and the Faculty of Messina with the participation of Sicilian companies. For the production of photovoltaic systems based on vegetable waste of citrus .

Citrus waste will be used to develop pigments which will be used for photo-sensitization solar cells. The cost of production, from the vegetable waste, is considerably less than the usual methods.
