The president, Hidamet Asa, said at this meeting, organized to determine the export targets for 2017, that the company had reached a new record of export in 2016 with 6100 tons of olives exported worldwide through 32 000 Foreign partners.
He also pointed out that Marmarabirlik's policy in 2017 was frankly export-oriented and aimed to reach the goal of USD $ 30 million for future olive and table olive oil exports.
By eliminating the single distributor system in Europe in 2010 and introducing the multi-distribution system, Marmarabirlik's export increased by 50% compared to the 2005-2015 export average. According to the Chairman, the success of this undertaking rests on teamwork and excellent coordination between the various segments of the marketing chain, from the Governing Board to workers, to cooperatives
