Aeon, the largest Japanese retail chain, will open its 1400 stores this summer 2 hours earlier than usual to save energy.
The 1400 Aeon sales outlets will open 2 hours earlier than usual to save energy.
Aeon, the largest Japanese retail chain, decided to open its 1,400 stores at 7am, 2 hours earlier than usual, from 1 June to early September.
Objective: to encourage customers to come to shop in the coolest part of the day to save energy. The
Aeon Group plans to hold its electricity consumption at the same level as last year and even lower by saving lighting. However, no changes are planned for the closing hours.
