Polish Ida Red went down in comparison with last week – 1,68 US$/kg as the demand was slightly going away. The same situation faced the Golden from Europe – 1,73 US$/kg in week 17. But, generally, the market of apples was active enough. Chinese Fuji came into demand on 1,79 US$/kg level. In the beginning of the week, Red Delicious from Argentina was still on 1,75 US$/kg whereas at the end, due to little arrivals from Argentina, went to 1,89 US$/kg level. The demand for this variety was much stronger than for Granny which seemed to reach it’s peak – 2,24 US$/kg.
The pressure on the pear market became stronger. The demand for Packham was lower than last week. Accordingly the prices went down to 1,49 US$/kg. Anjou variety had even less demand than Packham all over the country except Ural – 1,46 US$/kg. Conference had no quality in this week – from 1,70 US$/kg. The bestseller in this group was Chinese Ya pear – prices went up to 1,32 US$/kg.
Prices remained on low level but with the spring weather the demand for grapes increased. However qualitative grapes were not on the market. Prices for Red Globe from Argentina went a bit up – to 1,92 US$/kg. The same variety from Chile reached 2,56 US$/kg level. Thompson from Chile was sold on 2,75 US$/kg level.
