Georgia has shown an increase in export volumes of fruits in 2020.

Mandarins. According to the Ministry of Environmental Protection and Agriculture of Georgia, during the period from August 1 to December 27, 2020, Georgia has exported 30.6 thousand tons of mandarins, priced at 14.8 million dollars. The volume of mandarin exports during this time rose by 13 percent, while the value of exports rose by 7 percent compared to the same period in 2019.
In 2020, mandarins were mainly exported to the Russian Federation (17.3 thousand tons), Armenia (6.6 thousand tons) and Ukraine (4.8 thousand tons). Other export destinations were Kazakhstan, Moldova and Slovenia.
Apples. At the same lapse of time, Georgia has exported 8.0 thousand tons of apples, valued at 3.4 million dollars. The volume of apple exports during this period is 14 times higher than the volume of exports during the same period in 2019, while the value of exports rose by 3.1 million dollars.
The apples were mainly shipped to the Russian Federation (7.6 thousand tons). Other destinations for this fruit were Hungary, Kazakhstan, Armenia, Turkmenistan, Hong Kong and Singapore.
Persimmons. During the mentioned period, 11.4 thousand tons of persimmons were exported, priced at 6 million dollars. The export volume rose by 42 percent, while the value of exports was 43 percent higher than in the same period of 2019.
The main export destinations for these products were the Russian Federation (4.8 thousand tons), Ukraine (3.3 thousand tons) and Armenia (3.2 thousand tons).
Peaches and nectarines. As of August 25, 2020, Georgia has exported 23.109 tons of peaches and nectarines, which is an increase of 85 percent, compared to the same period of last year, when 12.556 tons of peaches and nectarines were exported, announces the Ministry of Agriculture of Georgia.
The main export countries for nectarines and peaches were the Russian Federation (14.906 tons), Armenia (7.202 tons), Azerbaijan (567 tons), Kazakhstan (112.9 tons), Ukraine (99 tons), Moldova (89.6 tons), Poland (74 tons), Slovenia (57.3 tons), Singapore (0.04 tons).
