The fallow year in Israel benefits Turkey

The year that has just begun in Israel is, according to the Hebrew calendar, fallow year for the land during which products grown on the Jewish land should not be consumed.

Some companies, major suppliers of "Haredi", portion of the conservative Jewish population, demand from Turkish exporters to be regularly  provided with fruits and vegetables from April.

Demand is mainly composed of, potatoes, tomatoes and cucumbers, but also eggplant, zucchini, carrots, onions and peppers of various varieties and melons and watermelons.

Israel is among the top 10 importers of Turkey.
