Turkish producers of watermelons satisfied with the prices obtained this season

This watermelon began its season on June 5 for a production of about 20,000 tons. Thanks to strict controls, it is also appreciated by Turkish supermarkets and external markets in Europe, Asia Minor and the Middle East.

The previous season was very bad and current prices, even late in the season, are appreciated by producers.

Another product, watermelon jam, is under study as there would be a demand for this product in foreign markets.
