Back to normal scheduled in 2015

Ravaged by Typhoon Pablo in 2012 , plantations in the Davao region should know the completion of their rehabilitation next year .

The PBGEA Association (Philippine Banana Growers and Exporters Association ) estimates that now nearly 80 % of the 15 000 hectares of plantations affected by the typhoon in 2012 are restored. The MBFEA Association ( Mindanao Banana Farmers and Exporters Association) has made ??the same observation for 6000 hectares of its members.

Thus, according to these two associations total return to normal could occur during the first or second quarter of 2015. And the production to 180 to 190 million boxes.
