Areas under fruit and vegetable crops to extend

In Uzbekistan, beginning from 2009, sown areas under cotton-plants will be substantially reduced.

 

This decision was made according to decree of the president.

 

These plantations will be used for cultivation of fruit and vegetables.

 

The main reason is increase of demand for this produce on the international market. Also demand for fresh fruit and vegetables is increasing on the domestic market.
