Russia is Morocco's top citrus fruit importer

44 percent of Morocco's citrus fruit exports are absorbed by the Russian market, generating $102 million in 2005. Russia has become the leading market for Moroccan citrus fruit, according to the Moroccan Association of Citrus Fruit Exporters (Aspam). The Russian market absorbed 236,000 tonnes of the total 542,000 tonnes of citrus fruit exported last year, Aspam said.
