The production of seedling rose to 3.2 million

The Chairman of the Board of Directors of FIDEBIRLIK, the association of plant producers in Turkey, founded in 2008,  declares that the sector, that started to produce plants in 1996 with only 3 nurseries using advanced techniques, now produces approximately 3,2 million seedlings, with more than 100 nurseries all over the country.

Most nurseries are located in the Antalya region, and are aligned with the international standards. These are greenhouses that use mostly vegetable plants, the lion's share being the tomato. Even though most of these plants are used in Turkey, exportation to Romania and Bulgaria has been detected over the last years.
