Huelva's strawberries in Asian markets

The Andalusian Cooperative Agromolinillo located in Moguer (Huelva), will begin to export strawberries in Asian markets in Singapore, Malaysia and Indonesia.
A first batch of 800 kilos of strawberries was shipped to Malaysia and Indonesia. A the beginning of May, another batch of 4,000 kilos should follow. The cooperative also plans to introduce in these markets: blueberries, gooseberries, blackberries and raspberries.
Spanish fruits are valued and considered as superior products. The most important for the Asian consumer is the color, the size, design of packaging and labels.
Agromolinillo has 1,800 acres of strawberries, berries and citrus, with an annual production of about 8 million kilos of strawberries and 2.87 million of blueberry.
