Mexico could become N#1

The Special Commission for the cultivation, processing and marketing of pineapple (Veracruz) estimated 10 000 cases of pineapple produced in the region.

Pineapple planted areas totaling 30,000 hectares and fruits generate a turnover of 6 billion pesos per year.

The Commission also believes that Mexico meets all the conditions to be No. 1 in the production of canned pineapple and staying ahead of the South Asian countries and Costa Rica.
