Gross crop of vegetables totaled 5.5 mln. tons

In particular, at the beginning of October, agrarian enterprises harvested 405.100 tons of vegetables, farms of the rural population harvested 5.143 mln. tons that totaled 93 % from the plan.

 

Production of vegetables rised by 16 % compared to the index of the last year due to increase of the average yield by 22 c/ha. The yield totaled 157 c/ha.

 

As of the reporting date, the open-soil vegetables were harvested throughout 353.6 mln. ha, that is mostly the same as compared to last year.
