Vegetable production in Poland to grow 10% in 2007 - Central Statistics Department forecasts

According to the forecasts by GUS (Central Statistics Department of Poland) the general vegetable harvest will increase up to 4.8 mln. tons in 2007 in this country; it will be 10% greater than the harvest 2006. This information is provided by Ebronisze.pl.
Onion production growth will be the most rapid; it will reach 13%. Also, the producers expect to harvest around 667.000 tons of onion. The production growth is also forecasted for white mushroom, up to 1.3 mln. tons (+11%).
