A Successful Week of Collaboration, Innovation and New Commitments
During the week of GreenTech 2025, the Netherlands once again welcomed the world and put Dutch horticulture in the global spotlight.
From June 9 to 12, public and private partners joined forces to welcome international delegations, showcasing the strength and vision of the Dutch horticultural sector and reinforcing the Netherlands’ position as a trusted partner in future-proof Controlled Environment Agriculture (CEA).
Delegations from all continents
Delegations from the Middle East, Asia, Africa, Europe and the Americas gathered to experience the full breadth of the Dutch horticultural ecosystem, during the week of GreenTech Amsterdam, the country’s largest horticultural trade show. These delegations included international growers, investors, policymakers, government officials, and horticultural (deputy) ministers, all eager to connect with the innovative heart of Dutch horticulture.
Customized programs with governments and private sector
These delegations were invited by the partners of the Strategic Trade Fair Program, a public-private initiative that offers tailor-made programs to international guests, highlighting the Dutch approach to sustainable food, flower and plant production. The aim: to build long-term international collaborations that contribute to global solutions in food security, water management, and climate-resilient horticulture. This collaboration is an initiative by Topsector Horticulture & Starting Materials and AVAG, carried out in collaboration with the Ministry of Agriculture, Fisheries, Food Security and Nature, the Netherlands Enterprise Agency (RVO), the Municipality of Westland, Dutch Greenhouse Delta, GreenTech, and World Horti Center.
From connection to collaboration
A wide range of activities we conducted, including matchmaking at the NL Lounge at GreenTech, inspiring knowledge sessions, and site visits to leading companies and research institutes. Hundreds of international visitors gathered to connect with Dutch businesses and institutions in an informal and energetic setting. The lunch proved to be a powerful catalyst for new contacts and future cooperation.
This week was not only about networking and showcasing innovation, it was also about taking the next step in international cooperation.
A Future-Ready Ecosystem
With over 550 exhibitors and thousands of international visitors, GreenTech served as a powerful springboard for the Dutch horticulture sector. The Netherlands demonstrated not just its technological edge, but also its openness, reliability, and strong ecosystem thinking — key qualities for tackling today’s global challenges together. for more information about Dutch Greenhouse Delta partners and the most advanced technology with greenhouse horticulture, you can write here.
