The new Trops plant at El Trapiche, Velez-Malaga, has been officially inaugurated.
Trops will be able to triple its operations with 14,200m2 of additional facilities.
The Agriculture Minister, Miguel Arias Cañete, has inaugurated the new factory built on the El Trapiche site in Velez-Malaga. This new 14,200m2 unit represents an investment of €17 million. The new facilities will allow Trops to significantly increase
its production with Trops announcing the possibility of tripling its operations.
Trops manages 60% of the mangoes produced in the country and 30% of the national production of avocado. Trops is the largest exporter of tropical fruits to Europe, covering 22 countries.
