Peru’s commitment to high standards and reliable supply is clearly paying off.
Peruvian blueberries made a big leap into the Saudi Arabian market during the 2024/25 season. Between weeks 18 and 13 of the farming calendar, Peru exported 1,286 tons of blueberries to Saudi Arabia — a 308% increase from the previous year, according to Peruvian media outlets. This growth made Saudi Arabia the ninth biggest buyer of Peruvian blueberries, showing how much the fruit is gaining popularity there.
Most of these exports came from La Libertad, which sent 70% of the total. Lambayeque and Piura followed with 28% and 2%, showing that these three regions are key players in Peru’s berry industry. Saudi buyers are drawn to the sweet taste, firm texture, and reliable quality of Peruvian blueberries.
Demand for premium produce is rising in Saudi Arabia, where consumers are willing and able to pay for quality. Peru’s commitment to high standards and reliable supply is clearly paying off.
