Historical record of food product exports

Record amount of the value of exports of Italian food products in 2013.

Coldiretti based on Istat data of foreign trade, announced a total of € 33 billion for the value of food product exports in 2013. This is the highest amount ever reached.

The majority of exports concerning the countries of the European Union for a value of € 22.5 billion (+5% compared to the previous year). Other destinations also recorded an increase: the United States with € 2.9 billion (+6%), Asia € 2.8 billion (+8%), Africa € 1.1 billion (+12 %) and Oceania (+13%).

The most exported products are: wine with 5.1 billion (+8%), fresh fruit 4.5 billion (+6%), oil with 1.3 billion (+10%), pasta with 2.2 billion (+4%).
