Potatoes prices rally in Ukraine

Based on the recent data, potatoes prices climb up on vegetables market of Ukraine. Costs, both for high and poor quality potatoes, have soared up by 25% during this week. At the current moment, potatoes are available at approximately 0,09 – 0,14 EUROkg. According to the local specialists, price knock could be attributed to considerably high demand for this kind of vegetables within domestic market of Ukraine, as well as significant potatoes volumes exported to Georgia, Belorussia and Azerbaidjan. Sudden frosts could also be one of other factors affected potatoes offer and consequently prices upturn in Ukraine.
