EUROCASTA has changed its name to EUROCASTANEA

Year after year, the congress managed to consolidate itself as the most important chestnut event in Europe.
At the 9th European Meeting of the Chestnut (EUROCASTA) that took place in Plasencia in Spain, which gathered more than 180 representatives of the sector, the new name of the network was formalized as: EUROCASTANEA
The signing of a convention in the presence of the AREFLH Vice-President Jean-Louis Moulon and the 4 representatives of the countries involved: SNPC for France, Red Estatal del Castaño for Spain, REFCAST for Portugal and CSDC for Italy. This European network is based on the AREFLH for its operation. EUROCASTA became EUROCASTANEA.
The annual congress is always an opportunity for producers, traders, chestnut manufacturers to prepare the next campaign, to evaluate the harvest potential in the different countries, and to discuss the commercial prospects.
In September 2019, the 10th edition will be organized in Portugal, by REFCAST, the Portuguese network of chestnut.
