FRUIT LOGISTICA 2002 : the leading event for the sector

The Fruit Logistica show took place on 10-12 January 2002, in Berlin. Focused on Germany and East European countries, this show is the main event of the year, which with the passing days, has superseded the Anuga show. Indeed, buyers and the sector' s professionals are asking for more specialised shows where they can meet with other professionals. The Fruit Logistica show with its 810 exhibitors coming from 50 countries, is without any doubt an opportunity for those who want to work with Germany and Eastern Europe. The Fructidor team was there and took advantage of the show to collect precise information about importers and exporters of these countries. Fructidor also introduced its new software that offers more ergonomic and useful research tools on its whole data base. Professionals concerned about top-quality information defend the use of Fructidor, whatever it is the paper edition, CD-Rom or Internet. The Fructidor booth acted as the International Meeting Point where, every afternoon, customers and buyers discussed over a glass of champagne and European culinary specialities. Despite the 13 518 visitors, the attendance was down 15 to 25%. Some people said that the proximity of Christmas prevented from having as much visitors as last year. Next edition will take place on 16-18 January, 2003.
