Prices are rising as a result of lower volumes of avocados available, demand remains high in the various markets.

The price of avocados has increased in recent weeks, one of the causes would be low production, temporary and normal, in the production areas of Mexico.

APEAM, the Association of Mexican Producers and Exporters, believes that the observed trend is temporary and normal. The crop in Mexico is lower due to climatic conditions and the nature of the trees. After an abundant production, the following one is less. In addition, a seasonal component must be taken into account in producing regions.

The tension between demand and supply is likely to continue but does not affect exports that have not weakened due to the high price of the product.
