Mission Produce announces new Vice President of Marketing and Communications

Mission Produce, Inc., one of the global leaders in sourcing, producing, and distributing Hass avocados and mangoes, announced the promotion of Denise Junqueiro to Vice President of Marketing and Communications, reporting to Steve Barnard, Chief Executive Officer and Founder.
Junqueiro will take over the realisation of Mission’s marketing plans along with the executive committee and continue to play a primary role in enterprise’s growth by managing the Mission Produce brand, global communications, media relations, and trade and consumer marketing.
In 2016, Junqueiro started at Mission as a customer marketing manager and has risen through the ranks. She guided the development of innovative category enhancing programs and strategies such as “Emeralds in the Rough”, “Avocado Intel'', "Jumbos, more to eat, more to love", “Minis, small but mighty”, “Ready”, and “Size Minded”. Thanks to her efficient work, Mission became a publicly traded company.
With over 10 years of background in marketing, Junqueiro is a member of the Produce Marketing Association Fresh Summit Committee and the California Avocado Commission Marketing Committee. She is a Class 42 Alumni of the fellowship program of California Ag Leadership Foundation. In addition, she holds an award of Produce Business Magazine 40-Under-Forty (2019), as well as an award of the Fruitnet Media International Women in Produce (2020) and the Packer’s Women in Produce (2020) honor.
