Sales of organic products increase by 10 percent

Figures released by the Soil Association show that organic food sales in the UK grew by 10 percent in 2004. The organic food market in the UK is now worth over £1.2 billion, and this sector is growing at twice the rate of the general grocery market. 56 percent of organic food sold in the UK is imported.
