MD
The food group Bonduelle, specializing in vegetables, has published annual turnover up 10.7% to 1.7 billion euros, in line with forecasts.
This increase is due to the successful integration of the French group Champignon, acquired in 2010. Bonduelle’s activity in Europe (the European Union without the Balkans) rose 10.5%. Outside of Europe, in Russia and the countries of Central and Eastern Europe, growth reached 11.2%.
The activity of canned vegetables is generally stable and frozen foods continued to grow. Fresh prepared vegetables such as salads, recorded four quarters of continued growth despite the significant slowdown in Germany due to the E.coli crisis.
