On June 2, 2025, over two tonnes of fresh lychees from Vietnam arrived at Charles de Gaulle Airport in Paris. The fruit, grown in Thanh Ha district (Hai Duong province), reached supermarket shelves just five hours after landing.
This marks the first lychee shipment from Vietnam to France for the 2025 season. The batch met EU import standards, with improved packaging and cold-chain logistics compared to last year.
A French-Vietnamese supermarket importing the fruit for a second year said earlier transport and quality issues had been resolved. Vietnamese trade officials in France confirmed that faster delivery was the result of better coordination and export handling.
