Italy purchases 38.5% of Almería oranges

The best customer for oranges from Almería region, it is Italy that purchased 38.5% of exports.
According to the Ministry of Agriculture and ICEX data, the orange export of the Almería region, between January and August exceeded € 11.2 million in value or +12.8% compared to the year last.
The main destination of orange Almería is Italy (38.5%) and Germany (22.35%) and France (17.3%). Then follow, Algeria, Romania, the Netherlands, Poland, Belgium and Russia.
The Almeria region exported between January and August, 31 million pounds of citrus (oranges, tangerines, lemons) an increase of +2.5% compared to the same period of 2012. The value of these exports amounted to € 21 million or almost +11% in compared to last year.
