A possibility of merger between ports

New Zealand's Ports of Auckland and Tauranga are in talks over closer cooperation, including the possibility of a merger of their operations, according to The New Zealand Herald. The move would have the potential to reduce port costs, while still remaining independent from the dominant international port and shipping companies, according to the Employers and Manufacturers Association.
