Fresh strawberry shipments from Peru rise on higher volumes

North America continuing to absorb the bulk of supply.
Peru exported US$60.4 million worth of fresh strawberries in 2025, up 25% from US$48.2 million in 2024, according to Agrodata.
Shipment volumes also increased, reaching 31.2 million kilos, compared with 25.4 million kilos the previous year — a 22% rise.
The yearly average price was US$1.94 per kilo, slightly above US$1.89/kg in 2024, meaning the export increase came mainly from larger volumes rather than higher prices.
The United States accounted for around 60% of total export value, far ahead of other destinations. Canada followed with 20%, while Japan held 8%. Smaller volumes were shipped to Mexico, South Korea, Germany and several additional markets.
