Frozen fruits for export

The fruits processed thereby - cherry, heart cherries, strawberries, apricots and plums are used in the food industry and the cosmetics industry.

101 producers came together to form a cooperative and invest in deposits required for freezing and treatment. Most of these fruits frozen thereby are mainly exported to Germany, Holland, Sweden, England, Belgium and France and represent a turnover of about 25 million Turkish lira (€ 1 approx. 2.9 TL) . Work period lasts about five months with about 20,000 workers.

This sector could be expected to develop in Turkey.
