Carrefour opens first Albanian store

The first hypermarket in Albania has opened - the first stage in a large network of stores planned by Carrefour and Marinopoulos in the Balkans.
The first Carrefour store in Albania has opened in the capital, Tirana.
The hypermarket is located in the Teg mall in Tirana and is operated by the Marinopoulos franchise, Carrefour's Greek partner. It follows a joint venture
to develop in the Balkans between the two companies in 2010.
The future network is also looking to enter Slovenia, Croatia, Serbia, Montenegro, Macedonia and Bosnia.
