Large investments in the Avocado industry in Colombia

The Avocado is becoming the flagship product of Colombian agriculture. After years of effort in the joint collaboration of government entities and companies that produce this product, it is expected that in 2040 the country will become the world's second largest producer of this fruit.

Colombia has become a new origin for international business in the agricultural sector, through new products such as avocado and exotic fruits. Some advantage in comparison with other investment options in South America are: Colombia have Lands in affordable prices, they do not have weather stations and have access to the two oceans.

According to the ProColombia Avocado Study of September 2019, Colombia has received foreign investment success from Green Fruit Avocado, Camposol, Rans and Westfalia Fruit Colombia, however, as the headquarters of the World Avocado Congress, new investment opportunities will continue to be generated. In this way, a positive impact is created by generating new jobs, accelerated sector growth, worldwide recognition and of course that the avocado industry is an example of why Colombia's wealth is in the countryside.

Today the closing will be held with the Vice President of the Republic who will deliver the headquarters of the tenth edition to one of the three postulated countries; Kenya, Mexico and New Zealand.
