Tilatti Agen, 50 years in the wholesale business
More than 800 regional and imported fruit and vegetable products are offered to retail and catering professionals.
The company was founded by Raymond Tilatti in 1962, originally as market gardeners in Boé, a town near Agen. He was the first producer to set up shop at the Agen market. The business then transitioned into wholesale trading in 1976. "This year, we are celebrating 50 years in the wholesale business," confirm Philippe and Pascal Tilatti, who now run the company.
More than 800 products
Tilatti Agen offers a complete range of fruits and vegetables, sourced from local market gardens, regional fruit suppliers, seasonal imports from Spain and Morocco, as well as tropical and off-season fruits from overseas. Garonne strawberries, Côteaux melons, and apples, pears, and cherries from Tarn-et-Garonne are the region's main seasonal fruits. "Our consumption patterns are tending to decline, particularly for vegetables used in stews such as pot-au-feu," notes Philippe Tilatti. Faced with an aging population and competition from ready-to-eat products, Tilatti Agen also supplies professional restaurateurs, retailers, and local authorities with fourth and fifth range products. "Our customer base covers the entire Lot-et-Garonne department and the greater Southwest," says Pascal Tilatti.
