Good Agricultural Practice Awards calling for applicants

The G.A.P. Awards merit producers who have achieved outstanding results through their commitment to GLOBALG.A.P. principles. Deadline for applications is 31 July 2018.

GLOBALG.A.P. initiated the G.A.P. Awards in 2012 to honor GLOBALG.A.P. certified producers who have achieved outstanding results through their commitment to GLOBALG.A.P. principles and the implementation of Good Agricultural Practice.

Applicant producers are acknowledged based on the innovative solutions they have developed to enhance food safety on their farms, the level of G.A.P. integration in their farm processes and management, the impact these changes have made on their workers’ health and safety, company values and the environment, and the efforts they make to share their knowledge and experience with other growers in their region.

This year’s G.A.P. Awards 2018 will focus on the following three categories:

1. Talent for Agriculture, Women and Youth
2. Water & Soil Management
3. Integration of Smallholders
