Chiquita announces delay in Fresh Express acquisition

Chiquita Brands has announced that its acquisition of the bagged salad maker Fresh Express may be delayed. The deal was expected to go through at the end of April, but could now be delayed until the end of June due to what the company described as "certain legal matters …[which] involve conduct of certain Chiquita employees".
