Algeria wishes to develop quickly its storage capacity under cold.
To improve its storage capacity, Algeria wants to encourage the development of the refrigeration industry.
According to the statistics of the Ministry of Agriculture and the rural Development, the storage capacity under cold of the country are 2,5 million cubic meters.
This capacity is insufficient according to the standards established by the World Health Organization (WHO) and should be situated between 11 and 12 million cubic meters.
Minister for Agriculture underlined the intention of the State to develop the storage capacity under cold in the country quickly. A company of cold warehouses will be established to complete the investments of the private sector in this domain for the next five years.
