Veritas and Mazzoni Group for organic products

The Mazzoni Group, a well-know company from Emilia Romagna, dealing mainly with local products (pears, apples, carrots, potatoes, bus also kiwifruit and garlic) for over 60 years, operates with distinguished activities (i.e. research, plants for sale) and it's present with organic products through Veritas biofrutta Verybio.

Veritas biofrutta applies to a wide market, in Italy but specially abroad (Germany, Finland, North-Europe countries), requiring mostly apples, but also pears and vegetables (fennel, cabbage, broccoli, etc.). The company is not a producer but works with producers (for the organic kiwifruit, with the Mazzoni Group itself). In Italy, organic food shops, wholesalers, masses, cooking centres are the usual customers, often in partnership with companies operating directly in the field. Among other customers, you find the transformation industry for IV range and organic frozen food. Frozen food ready for use, already dealt with by conventional products, is now available in the organic food version: this line is rapidly growing up. Abroad, no lack of customers: in spite of the current issues, customers from Greece go on buying.
