Tosca earns EcoVadis Gold rating for 2026
VU | Tosca
The company has received new recognition for its sustainability performance.
Tosca has received a Gold rating from EcoVadis for 2026, placing the company among the top 5% of businesses assessed globally for sustainability performance.
The recognition comes as companies across Europe face growing pressure to demonstrate measurable environmental and operational results. Regulations are increasingly focused on areas such as waste reduction, traceability and lifecycle performance, while customers and supply chain partners are demanding greater transparency and efficiency.
Sustainability moves from targets to measurable results
According to Laurent Le Mercier, EMEA President at Tosca, sustainability is becoming a practical business requirement rather than a long-term ambition. He said customers are increasingly looking for evidence that companies can deliver improvements in areas such as compliance, efficiency, waste reduction and supply chain resilience.
The company noted that many supply chains still rely on single-use packaging, which requires a continuous supply of new materials and generates waste after each use. As a result, more businesses are adopting reusable packaging systems designed to reduce waste while improving operational performance.
Gold rating reflects progress across all categories
EcoVadis assessments examine company performance in four areas: environment, labour and human rights, ethics, and sustainable procurement.
Tosca reported that its 2026 results improved across all assessment categories compared with the previous year. The company said the rating reflects the impact of its reusable plastic packaging and pooling solutions, which are designed to help customers reduce waste, improve efficiency and support more circular supply chains.
Le Mercier said the award recognises the progress made by Tosca's teams and reflects the company's focus on turning sustainability commitments into practical business outcomes.
Growing importance for supplier selection
Independent sustainability ratings are becoming increasingly important in procurement and supplier evaluation processes. Businesses are using assessments such as EcoVadis to compare suppliers, verify sustainability claims and evaluate long-term resilience.
Tosca said that as supply chains continue to evolve, demonstrating measurable and credible sustainability performance is becoming an increasingly important factor in maintaining competitiveness and building long-term partnerships.
