Producers plan a 50 % rise in prices

Ukraine plans a decline in production which should be widely compensated with the prices thanks to a large foreign demand.
Due to adverse weather conditions of the summer, Ukraine expects a potatoes production lower than the previous years.
The Ukrainian Agriculture Ministry announced that potato harvest should only decrease of 5% and expects to produce 18.6 million tons this year.
Producers plan a rise in prices of 50 % by the end of this year. The cost of potatoes in February and April 2011 will depend of the winter temperature.
