GREENLINER is a "grass paper" made from 50% fresh grass fiber. Grass fiber is an innovative raw material manufactured in the form of pellets by the purely mechanical conversion of dried grass (hay) and without any chemical treatment.
Compared to standard paper pulp, consumption is low: 0 liters of water for grass fiber versus almost 30,000 liters of water per tonne for pulp fiber; 150 kW / h per ton of grass fiber versus 6,000 kW / h per ton of pulp fiber.
In terms of availability, the grass can be harvested several times a year while it is necessary to wait until 20 years for the trees intended for the production of pulp. The supply of grass fiber comes from a 50 km zone around the plant, reducing further CO2 emissions.
