The drop in temperatures has caused enormous losses to the citrus industry in Argentina.
The temperature drops have hit the citrus industry.
Damages caused by frost that hit Argentina beginning to be quantified. The citrus industry has lost nearly 70% of production in the regions of Alto Valle de Río Negro and Neuquén. Other regions, Entre Rios and Corrientes, would have some losses between 50 and 70%.
This shortfall in production will cause a decline in exports estimated at $ 70 million.
