The Swiss retailer Migros confirms its growth ambitions beyond its borders with the acquisition of the German supermarket chain Tegut.
Migros has underlined its international ambitions with the purchase of the supermarket chain Tegut.
Tegut was founded in 1947 and has 290 supermarkets with a turnover of 1.17 billion euros last year.
The amount of the
transaction is not known. Analysts believe that international expansion is a good source of growth for the Migros Group. Growth potential in Switzerland seems marginal with only the organic segment still presenting opportunities.
